Sweet Jazz City is the capital city of Taiga Country.[1] It is a center for the arts and sciences with little regulation, but this also makes it a breeding ground for criminals.[2] Sweet Jazz hosts many first-rate businesses and shopping centers, making it very popular with rich elite socialites. Its white beaches are also popular among the city's residents.[3]

Scorched Lands[edit | edit source]

The Scorched Lands is a world conjured inside one of Lorelai Blyndeff's dream bubbles. It is an apocalyptic land, with its ground burned to stone, its forests composed of iron spires, and its blood red sky filled with lightning-full pink clouds.[10]

Ambleglow Bramble[edit | edit source]

The Ambleglow Bramble is another world augmented into reality by Lorelai Blyndeff. Inside this dream bubble is a candy-themed land ruled by Lorelai, who is known as the Hare-idan[11]. The world is split between bright and warm candy fields[11] and a haunted forest[12]. At its heart is the Hare-idan's Hovel and the Cauldratorium, this world's abode for Lorelai.[13] The former is modeled after her old family home[14] while the latter provides opportunity for potion making.[13]

Potage Residence[edit | edit source]

The Potage Residence is the former home of Giovanni Potage, owned by and lived in by Giovanni's mothers. One of its rooms housed Giovanni's quarters, a race car bed and crafting table residing in it.[8]

Ramsey's Office[15] is a rundown urban flat owned by Ramsey Murdoch. He was having a phone call with Giovanni Potage about him appraising the Arsene Amulet before Zora Salazar discovered it, causing Murdoch to flee to Redwood Run, where he told Giovanni to meet him.[8]

Bliss Ocean Headquarters[edit | edit source]

Bliss Ocean Headquarters is a towering skyscraper located within the heart of Sweet Jazz City. It serves as Bliss Ocean's center of operations. One of its floors houses a meeting room, with a flat screen television located on one wall to allow communication with Bliss Ocean Leader.[9]

Sweet Jazz City's diamond-white beaches are always filled with beachgoers, a majority being the elite socialites that inhabit the city. [3] Dunce Cap Nudibranchs are commonly found washed ashore, to which it is common courtesy for beachgoers to bring them back to sea. Ship wreckage and jetsam can also be found amuck the beachfront. Molly Blyndeff, Trixie Roughhouse, and Phoenica Fleecity found a beached Rick Shades here after finding and helping funny-looking nudibranchs. [16]

Beachfront Alleyways[edit | edit source]

Towards the west of Sweet Jazz City, the alleyways between beachfront establishments are able to be used as shortcuts to access the coast. They are characterized by their purplish hues, damp ground, and general filth. Phoenica Fleecity was ambushed by The Wolf and subsequently saved by Trixie Roughhouse here.[3]

Middle School[edit | edit source]

Sweet Jazz City has a school that includes at the seventh grade.[17] Subjects taught include science, history, algebra,[3] and linguistics[16]. Field trips are used to expand students' knowledge, like visiting the Sweet Jazz City Museum. Molly Blyndeff, Stink, Stonk, Mushroom Girl,[4] Phoenica Fleecity, and Trixie Roughhouse[16] attend it.

Baxter's Department Store[edit | edit source]

Baxter's Department Store is an establishment owned by Lenny Baxter.[18] It specializes in selling luxury items; Phoenica Fleecity bought her designer backpack from here.[3]

Crusher's House[edit | edit source]

Crusher's house is a large house owned by Crusher's family.[19] It has a luxurious treehouse in its backyard that Giovanni Potage uses as a hideout from the Sweet Jazz Police Department after he stole the Arsene Amulet. The treehouse additionally acts as the headquarters for Giovanni's Villain Group.[20]

STEM Building[edit | edit source]

The STEM Building is the base of operations for the STEM corporation and houses its CEO, Naven Nuknuk[21], and employee Rick Shades[19]. It is sixty stories tall and is mainly filled with vertical farms and orchards.[21]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Due to being in Taiga Country, it snows seven months of the year in New Jazz City. Its location also makes the average highest temperature below seventy degrees Fahrenheit.[3]
  • It will be the main setting of Horizontal Pilot Command and Book 9.[22]
  • Some other names proposed were, "Title City", "Singsong City", "Telegrande City", "Bumper City", "Sidecar City", "Gala City", and "Limit City".[23]
  • The "Jazz" part of the name actually originally comes from Jazz being the name from an apple.[23]
