Percival King Sits with Molly Blyndeff, interrogating her on the events of the Museum break in. Molly tries to deflect her questions and even pours Percy a steaming cup of earl gray tea. This works as Percy stops her interrogation and deems the trail cold.
Giovanni Potage is seen attempting to call an unknown number. Once this number picks up the call, Giovanni asks if this is Ramsey Murdoch. This is confirmed by the caller. The mysterious figure also confirms themselves to be the Banzai Blasters appraiser. Giovanni mentions the Arsene Amulet which grabs Ramsey's attention. Ramsey's office is then raided, and Ramsey tells Giovanni to meet him at the town ofRedwood Run, to the north of Sweet Jazz City.
Giovanni and Car Crash arrive in Redwood run two days after the phone call. Giovanni leaves to meet with Ramsey. Car Crash backs up his red truck, but the inevitable happens and it crashes into a tree.
Giovanni walks into Redwood Run, finding it swarming with Banzai Blasters like himself. He also finds the town quite a dump. Giovanni realises the building Ramsey told Giovanni to meet him in is a police station. Giovanni sees that he could be part of a set-up. He steels his nerves before entering.
Giovanni Barges into the Sheriff's building and instead of being arrested by the sheriff, he is directed towards Ramsey's cell. Giovanni imediately notices Ramsey's golden eye. This freaks him out, and Ramsey calls him out for being a jerk. Giovanni apologizes and then asks Ramsey how he ended up in jail. Ramsey states he turned himself in, to Giovanni's frustration. Ramsey then elaborates that he is wanted for forgery and embezelment. Turning himself in to an incompetent sheriff is better than being thrown into the real deal. Ramsey asks to see the Arsene Amulet, but Giovanni is hesitant and does not want Ramsey to steal it. To prove his good faith, Ramsey demonstrates his Epithet, ★Goldbricker★. This Epithet allows Ramsey to turn anything into solid gold, manipulate that gold as later seen with crayons and a dirt version of the Arsene Amulet. This is sufficient evidence that Ramsey does not need to sell the Amulet, and Giovanni hands it over. Ramsey examines the craftmenship, giving it much praise. Then Ramsey muses the power to steal an Epithet is worth at least millions to the right people. The Amulet could be practically priceless if Giovanni found the right buyer, like a mundie CEO who wants a super power.
