On a field trip to the Sweet Jazz City Museum, Martin Blyndeff, the chaperone, annoys the class before Molly Blyndeff, his daughter, and Mera Salamin, the tour guide get him to stop. She then continues her tour about Epithets before asking the class if any of them have epithets. Martin raises his hand to alert her to about Molly's but she misunderstands when Molly says it is "Dumb". Mera goes back to asking the class and Indus Tarbella, an employee moving boxes, says he'll show them his epithet. Mera tries to shoo him away but the kids all chant they want to know. He flexes, creating a barrier, much to the excitement of the children.[6]

Meanwhile, Martin informs Molly that she has the nightshift despite having worked the past few nights, Molly is defeated and hands him her phone when he says the tour is boring. Indus notices this and how the others are not enjoying the tour as well, so he calls the children over and begins to tell them about the Arsene Amulet before Mera stops him reminding him that the museum isn't public yet. Indus agreed, flexing, accidently throwing the box he was holding onto the ground shattering it. The kids dived into the pile of artifacts, Mera not far behind to try and stop them. She asked for help from Martin but all he does is dive in as well to get some treasure of his own. Indus tries to get their attention but fails.[6]

Molly is overwhelmed so she creates a Silence Bubble and wanders off, her father unable to hear her. She bumps into Sylvester Ashling, accidently being covered in his Weird Dandruff, causing her to collapse from exhaustion seconds later. The field trip ends, with the class leaving, Martin unaware he left his daughter behind, and Mera and Indus closing the Museum. Lastly, Sylvester managed to sneak in.[6]

Molly wakes up in the Sweet Jazz City Museum after it had closed and looks for anyone else but finds no one. She realizes she is locked in due to the doors being locked and panics and attempts to call 911 to turn herself in for being a criminal for being there after hours. However, Giovanni Potage and his team of Banzai Blasters burst in, announcing his plans to rob the museum blind. Indus apologized and Mera told him to stick to moving boxes.[6]

Giovanni gives a speech about how they are going to rob the museum and how they are cool before realizing Molly is the only one there. Molly attempts to reports them as Giovanni tries to change this into how they are cool but Giovanni knocks the phone out of her hand with a ball of his epithet. Molly figures out his epithet is soup by tasting the ball despite Giovanni trying to hide it. So Giovanni tricks Molly in turn revealing that she has one. Giovanni then grabs her by her hood and brings her over the minions, talking about how they going to rob the museum. He then assigns three of them to watch over Molly. One of the members says that he wanted to rob the museum which leads to him bring up their earlier scheduling problems caused by him. He then ties Molly to a chair with duct tape and leads the remaining Blasters to look for valuables.[6]

The Remaining Blasters argue about being left behind as Indus enters the room. Molly informs him of the situation as he helps free her from the chair. Indus then challenged them to an honorable duel. The Blasters pose, Indus takes this as a initiation of a battle of posing. When they both finished their pose they asked for Molly's verdict. Molly picked Indus and Indus charged at them, getting stuck in the wall (Although he still encouraged Molly through the coming battle) but managing to knock out one of them. The two remaining blasters set their eyes on Molly. Molly tries to block them by throwing thumbtacks on the ground to block them and at first it works before the two realize they can walk around and grabbed her. Molly used Dumb Down Intelligence on one of them, causing him to charge into the other and knock out both of them. Molly then talked to Indus who managed to push himself out of the wall. Indus then ran to help Mera when he realized there are more Blasters, while Molly runs after him, asking to use his phone.[6]

Meanwhile, Giovanni and the rest of his Blasters wander into the storeroom looking for treasure. Mera tries to mock him and point out the flaws in his plan but Giovanni is unphased before having his Blasters shoot the woman. However, Indus managed to block the bullets with his shield. Giovanni uses Teleports Behind You to try and hit Mera but his attack was Dumb Downed by Molly. Mera tells Indus to grab Molly before having Indus throw Giovanni to the rest of Blasters and knocking them out with Scattergun. Giovanni grieves his boys as Mera reveals she plans to rob the museum.[6]

Mera explains to her that she plans to find the amulet and steal her epithet. Mera tells Indus to bring the intruders to the Desert Exhibit. She brings the five and throws the five behind a large barrier, creating a makeshift cell. Indus wonders off to look at the dinosaurs. Giovanni and Molly end up forming an alliance once he convinces her to not give up her epithet and Molly pointed out that he was minion-less, making her his new minion, giving her the alias: Bear Trap. The two manage to trick Indus into letting them out of the "cell" by exploiting his honor-bound personality. During this Giovanni encouraged Molly through her social anxiety and they also told him 1000 more minions were after Mera, tricking him into running to protect her. Now freed, Molly attempts to trick Giovanni into letting her have his phone but Giovanni manages to convince her that her actions make her a criminal as well. Giovanni bids his unconscious minions farewell before going to make a secret base.[7]

Meanwhile, Mera searched for the amulet when Indus returned and explained to her that he decided to let them go. While she yelled him, Sylvester appeared and Indus, thinking he's one of the 1000 minions, charging at him, but was knocked out by his Werid Dandruff. Sylvie explained he was a psychologist also after the amulet, wanting to study it. Mera realized she could use him, sending him after Molly and Giovanni, promising him a look at the amulet if he defeats them.[7]

Meanwhile, Giovanni constructed "Fort Cool Guy" out of the fake bears in an exhibit. Giovanni said they were part of their team when Molly questioned it so Molly decided they needed uniforms too, beginning to sew a BB in a bandana. They have a conversation about their shared love of crafts causing Molly to realize he is actually nice. With the fort complete, he explains to her how Banzai Blaster membership works, leading to him learning about Molly's rough home life and taught her the powerful lesson of saying no.[7]

Sylvester appeared, realizing they are the Banzai Blasters who are after the Arsene Amulet, raining down Werid Dandruff from above. Molly recognizes him and and the power so Giovanni uses Demon Energy Aura to disperse the dust. Giovanni informed Molly of his Critical 13 ability before Sylvester sends a wave of Counting Sheep. He threw two Lava Grenades at the horde, but they didn't do enough to make a real dent. Giovanni asked Molly to attack them but she doesn't have a weapon, so Giovanni gave her his Banzai Blaster Peashooter. The Counting Sheep than swarmed them, doing chip damage. Giovanni hit them till he reached 13, doing a crit on one of them, but realized that wouldn't work. Molly realizes that she use Hushbye on the sheep, dispersing one of them.[7]

One of the sheep then explodes on Molly's face, making her drowsy, so Sylvester then uses Nightmare Fuel on her, making her see her greatest fear, the room burning around her. Giovanni is angered by Sylvester distressing Molly and uses Teleports Behind You to get on top of Fort Cool Guy. He then comforts Molly. Sylvester uses Nightmare Fuel on Giovanni, bringing The two bears to life. The two think of using a ball of yarn from Giovanni's sewing kit, building up hits on Molly, before firing a Critical 13 hit on Sylvester. Sylvester uses Dream Bug, passing out, Molly and Giovanni return the ground just as he transforms into Dr. Beefton.[7]

Brendan Blaber, when he started working on this arc, was trying to keep it a tournament arc like the Anime Campaign episode it is based on, but quickly switched it to be set in a museum. It also included Dan Gansley before he was cut prior to him starting to work on the Episode 4 script. He also explained that it is written "whole cloth" from scratch.[Citation Needed] Despite this is it still serves the purpose of the AC episode. It took three drafts to write.[8]

The Epithet Erased episodes and the Anime Campaign episode they are inspired by are vastly different, to the point that Brendan Blaber considers it not be a adaption due to it mostly being written "whole cloth". Despite this mainly core things carry over between them. However, the differences are:

  • Instead of it being set in the Sweet Jazz City Museum, it is set in the Regional Below Ceremony, a tournament. As such being a "tournament arc".
  • Several names are different including: "Gemeni Necklace" instead of "Arsene Amulet" and "Bushido Blasters" instead of "Banzai Blasters".
  • Several characters appear that are not in the Epithet Erased version: Moxie Roughhouse, Charlotte Scarlet, Gulie Manning, Devinia, Allison McGillicudy. Dan Gansley, Chuck Jones , Abbott Arbuckle. (Although Dan Gansley was in early drafts.[Citation Needed])
  • It being a "tournament arc", the arc is a lot more stuctured. It going from backstage to the annousment, to 4 1v1 matches, an interrupted 2v2, and finally a "clusterfuck" final battle.
  • Molly goes there intentionally to promote the store, instead of a field trip, and accidently becomes a fighter.
  • Moxie Roughhouse, Charlotte Scarlet, and Gulie Manning are characters on the first group alongside Sylvester Ashling who is twelve and is not there because of the necklace. Somewhat similar to Epithet Erased Sylvie ends up seeing Mera as a mentor due to her knowledge of Epithets, and feels similarily betrayed when her true nature is revealed.
  • Toliet Apples, Anime Campaign's version of STEM, a company that sells apple flavored in Toilet waters, is the sponsor.
  • Instead of Giovanni Potage having a whole team of Banzai Blasters, he has two other members with him, Devinia and Allison McGillicudy. They make up the second team along with Molly.
  • Instead of it being Molly who reveals Giovanni's epithet as "Soup", its Moxie during their fight. He is similarly embrassed, allowing Moxie to win the battle.
  • Molly is only a supporting character in this, facing off against Gulie in a match but managed to convince him to help her promote her store.
  • During a 2v2 matche: Arbott Arbuckle, charges in, telling them something shady is going on. And after defeating him it is revealed he is right.
  • Mera is person running the tournament and already has the necklace. She was the winner of the first year and killed the person running it. She has at least two other epithets including: “Bughouse” and “Eventual”. She also killed their owners.
  • The chaotic fighter ends with, like Epithet Erased, the Bushido Blasters have the Gemeni Necklace, however unlike Epithet Erased, Mera and Indus manage to escape.
