Epithets are enheriently tied to a person's own perception of a word and the associations with it.[1] For example, Giovanni Potage

A person may "transcribe" their Epithet into an object, filling it with some of its power.[2] This is called "Imbuing".[Citation Needed] This can be permanent[2] like with the Arsene Amulet.[Citation Needed]. Or it can be temporary like when Zora Salazar used Percival King's sword[2] and her Twin Pistols.[3] Permanent Imbuing takes a lot more work then temporary.[2]
