"Retcons" refers to retroactive continuity. This page is to list all retcons to the World of Epithet Erased that changed something, instead of simply "expanding" the lore.

• Island Country was originally called "Seaside Country",^{[Citation Needed]} but this has since changed.
• Canada was initially said to be "Just a small city" by Brendan Blaber on Tumblr, however it was later revealed to be the Capital of Australia in the Epithet TTRPG.
• In the Audition Packet Percival King was said to be 26. Brendan Blaber would later state that she was 29, but she was revealed to be 32 in a Prison of Plastic Promotional infocard.
• In the Redwood Run synopsis, it states the episode takes place "A week after the museum incident", however that appears to be incapable with how repeatedly both the "Museum Arc" and the "Western Arc" are stated to happen a week prior to the events of Prison of Plastic in said novel.
• The Exact nature of the Blasters in the Outro Version of Great at Crime is very unclear and contradictory without any explicit answer being given:
  • In the first official music video, They use the second episode version of the Outro, and it is unclear what team they belong to.
  • In the first episode, "Quiet in the Museum!", the Blasters are not credited, implying they are the members of Giovanni's Banzai Team and are the members that their voice actors correspond to.
  • In the second episode, "Bear Trap", the Blasters are credited as "Banzai 1" and "Banzai 2" , implying they are not members of Giovanni's Banzai Group despite sharing voice actors.
  • In the third episode, "The Doctor is In", the Blasters are credited as "Banzai 3" and "Banzai 4" , implying they are not members of Giovanni's Banzai Group and do not share any voice actors with them.
  • In the fourth episode, "Reflection", the only appearing blaster is credited as "Banzai 5"
  • in the seventh episode, "Winner Take All", an episode that gave credits for the whole series, only listed the blasters who did not share voice actors with the Giovanni's Banzai Group. They were listed as "Songzai"s and restarted the numbering. This implying they were extra members and the rest are the corresponding members of Giovanni's Banzai Group.
  • Finally, in the Extended Version, it is shown that DC Bell is the leader of the group with no relation to Giovanni's. This version also uses the "Bear Trap" version of the first section of the song. This seems to retcon or at least clarify that even the Outro Version they DC Bell's group and not Giovanni's.
  • In The Art of Epithet Erased, it is said the outro version's artwork told the story of the Banzai Blasters getting captured. You could argue this apply to the song as well and you could argue further this is what the song implies, however in the extended version they do not get captured at this point in the song.
