Taiga Country is a snowy land that values freedom and flexibility. And is the main location of Epithet Erased.^[1]

It is heavily forested areas between large cities, and has very cold winters. This is the only country where it snows.

-The northernmost nation where it snows nine months of the year. Taiga’s primary export has always been vivid and beautiful dyes and pigments produced from the unique grasses native to its tundras. Hundreds of years ago the natives lived as nomads herding thick-wooled sheep and yak. Their livestock would feed on these grasses, and the dyes would naturally work their way into the wool of the sheep.
-Dyes could also be found in natural ore deposits and mines, sometimes called “the underground aurora”. When traders from southern countries learned about these beautiful pigments, there was a massive demand for them. Companies from Deepwood Country built rail lines snaking up into the northern tundra and created supply chains between the new mining towns where dye deposits were discovered. Miners, workers, and criminals flocked to these boom towns, known colloquially as “Blooms”. Blooms were often named for the color of the dye being mined there, such as “Redwood Run.”
-As competition to gain control of the blooms and dye grew, fierce skirmishes broke out between trade caravans. Cowboy-like rough riders were hired to defend the claims and rail cars transporting valuable goods. Shootouts in the snow were almost a daily occurrence.

Sweet Jazz’s most distinct feature is its skyline: massive buildings multicolored blue and indigo with pigments from up north woven into the glass.
