Gorou Shimizaki is the incompetent sheriff of Redwood Run.

Appearance

to be added

Personality

Gorou is laidback and friendly, always welcoming visitors to the town. Nonetheless, he is also awfully inept as a sheriff: he hands out guns to everyone without thinking about the potential consequences, he cannot spell (Although, it should be noted he wishes to learn to), plays games while on duty, and makes no attempt to arrest any of the Banzai Blasters: even when they attack another police officer like Percy. Gorou didn't even realize that sheriffs are supposed to solve crimes. Gorou is overall a happy and harmless, yet forgetful bumbling buffoon.

Trivia

  • He is the only native resident in Redwood Run that has an epithet.[2]
  • His beard is made out of literal sprinkles.
  • He has the weakest epithet in the series so far and has the only epithet that is arguably completely useless. He has the lowest possible stats out of any character: all stats being 1★.
  • His office shows that Gorou plays darts, but his aim is so bad that he hit the moose head on his wall.
  • Gorou's birthday is on June 7th.[4]
  • His favorite type of donut is strawberry frosted donuts with sprinkles.[5]
  • Gorou didn’t know he had an epithet until he was an older teenager while he was watching a Winnie the Pooh short on TV.[6]
  • His favorite TV show is Game of Thrones.[6]
  • Gorou likes bubble gum a lot. But it’s not unusual for him to accidentally swallow it.[6]
  • He has a very large collection of board games in the jail that he uses the play without whoever is presently in custody.[6]
  • He also films kazoo covers of popular songs and posts them online. They’re really bad and poorly edited. He’s not very popular bar a handful of people who see the meme value in it.[6]
  • Gorou’s mom still picks out his outfits half the time.[6]
  • He had a race car bed when he was a kid.[6]
  • He appeared as a player character in the episode of Anime Campaign that the "Redwood Run Arc" is based off of.[7]
  • His beard is literally made of sprinkles
  • He is from southern Taiga Country[8]
  • His height is 6'4"[1]
  • His birthday is March 13.[1] This makes him a Pisces.
  • He likes Milk in his coffee[1]
  • His favorite animal is the Koala.[1]
  • Unsurprisingly, his favorite food is Donuts.[1]
  • He likes Idle Gaming and that thing where you run a mug across the prison bars.[1]
  • In the Season 1 Outtakes, Ari Ross sings a song as Gorou about his wife being a horse.[1]
  • On Twitter, Jello made a tier list of how well liked in the fandom each character is, placing Gorou in "Mid"[9]
  • On Twitter, Jello made a tier list of Stardew Valley spouses, Gorou being paired with Maru because "This lady is always at the tavern! Girl, me too!"[10]
  • On Twitter, Jello revealed he was sent a set of teas inspired by characters from Epithet Erased.[11] While not pictured, Gorou was apart of the set, with a dewy cherry, fruit medley, and peach bellini tea titled "Gorou Steep-azaki". It had the caption "The Raspberries Come From The Woods. The Sprinkles Come From His Beard!"[12]
