Mundies are those born without Epithets, often being seen as lesser to those born with them.

Politics

Epithet-based discrimination is called Lexism, and applies to both inscribed and mundies.

Mundies tend to be underestimated and are often not given jobs due to inscribed also being available even if the mundies are better for the job; this is how incompetent or useless characters like Gorou Shimizaki could become a sheriff. The opposite is sometimes true, as the company Stem (led by the mundie Naven Nuknuk) intentionally hires only mundies. While Stem still searches for employees with merit, it is somewhat easy for them to find skilled mundies who struggle to find a job due to competition from the more popular inscribed.

Abilities

Most Mundies have the same abilities and limitations as realistically normal people. The most noticeable exception to this is Howie Honeyglow, who has a MAX Stamina stat and a nigh superhuman physique built up through merit and constant physical labor.
