He began The Harvesting, an Ocean Country custom, consisting of taking away powerful inscribed children to live in the coliseum's cells. There, they are to battle each other until they are powerful enough to face against the supreme leader himself. The custom is a way for He Who Hungers Endlessly to gain power; Since the children inevitably lose, they are essentially farmed for experience. One of these being Rick who was taken at 12, due to his power not leveling up from battles he would befriend the other prisoners and throw his battles. When he was 20 he decided to escape, succeeding, with help from the other prisoners.<ref name=":0">[[Prison of Plastic]], Chapter 8: Bridging the Distance</ref>
