About that... since aspirin is 80% of her diet, that means she is spending only 20% of the money the average person would on food. According to ValuePenguin.com, the average annual cost of food for an American household (2.5 people on average) was $6,602 in 2013, so the annual food price per person is roughly $2,641. 20% of that would be $528.2, meaning her total cost on comestibles per year (if the numbers in the in the comment are correct) would be $4178.2, which is pretty ridiculous.
However, this is looking over the fact that 1000 aspirin a day would most definitely kill her. According to healthline.com, it would take 34,000 mg of aspirin to kill a person weighing 150 lbs (68 kg), or approximately 420 (ayyy) pills of 81 mg or "low-dose" aspirin or 105 pills of 325 mg aspirin. But Mera doesn't weigh 150 lbs; the show specifically lists her size as small, meaning she probably weighs more around 100 lbs. Since the toxicity of aspirin is measured by the ratio of mgs of aspirin consumed to body weight, it would take much less aspirin to kill her. The lethal level of aspirin is 500 milligrams of aspirin per kilogram of body weight, so it would take about 22,680 mg of aspirin to kill her, or only 280 of the low-dose pills. The maximum number of low-dose pills she could take at once without feeling nauseous would be 168, which she wouldn't be able to keep up without the aspirin building up and slowly killing her. If her pain is so intense that 80% of her diet is aspirin, she should probably be taking opioids (but that would make for a very different show).
Long story short, don't overanalyze hyperbole.
