Deadline

From Epithet Erased Wiki

Deadline is the opening theme of Epithet Erased and the 1st opening theme overall.

An extended version was produced because the stretch goal on the Prison of Plastic Kickstarter for $220K is an extended version of this song has been reached.[1]

Lyrics[edit | edit source]

WAKE UP!

You’ve got a lot to do today

Feel proud and wipe your eyes, ‘cause hey!

Stifle the yawn, stayed up ‘til dawn

Let’s see what you been workin’ on...

IT’S GONE!

Keep in mind the deadline

Is closing in

Your byline, the headline

They’re in the bin

Uncompleted

All deleted

WHAT’S GOING ON?

You have to crunch and work ‘til dawn ‘til you die!

Cut out the corners, cross the Ts and dot the Is!

Whip out the white-out but keep it in good taste

Just so that no one will

Ever know it’s defaced

Epithet Erased!

WAKE UP!

You’ve got a lot to do today

Feel proud and wipe your eyes, ‘cause hey!

Stifle the yawn, stayed up ‘til dawn

Let’s see what you been workin’ on...

IT’S GONE!

Keep in mind the deadline

Is closing in

Your byline, the headline

They’re in the bin

Uncompleted

Epithet Erased!

ALL RIGHT!

Group project work may bury you

Maybe your team can carry you?

Send ‘em a text, you’re feelin' vexed

Ask your partners what you should do next

AW HECK!

The group chat: Unread.

Well that’s no good.

They tell you

“Well, we thought you would!”

“At a party”

“Never started”

WHAT’S GOING ON?

You always crunch and work ‘til dawn ‘til you die!

And then these lazy louses leave you out to dry

To them, expendable, you’re just a good grade

They took exhaustion

And they replaced it with rage

Go to your happy place…

New project now: It’s your revenge

Obsessed with thoughts of offing them

But no—

Why settle for sealing those snakes in a hearse

When you could do something that’s so much worse?

(Quiet and conspiratorial)

Slap their wrists and

Break the system

LET’S GET IT DONE!

Email the supervisor, get ‘em expelled

They act like devils, well it’s time to give ‘em hell!

Leak the receipts, and then you tank GPAs

If you go out then you’ll go

In a glorious blaze!

Epithet Erased!

  • This opening theme according to Brendan Blaber was completed in a crunch within only a few weeks.
    • Basically, this song emphasizes on the stress the staff has when working on the show.[10]
  • Many people called the Extended version the "Molly Villain Song" and Brendan Blaber acknowledged that it did kind of become that.[9]
  • The EpithetErasedOnline.com promotional art seems to have originally been an alternate thumbnail for the YouTube upload since the original file name is " Thumbnail-Deadnail-2.png".[11]
