Calliope Blyndeff was the mother of Molly and Lorelai Blyndeff, as well as the wife to Martin Blyndeff.

Appearance

Calliope had dark skin and dark brown hair with loose girls and a grey streak. She appeared to dress professionally, wearing sweaters, turtlenecks and jewelry with high-waisted bottoms and high heeled shoes. She wore golden glasses, with a beaded chain having the same colors as Molly and Martin's hair stars/Lorelai's freckles.

Personality

"Yeah! Those are... words!"

During her lifetime, Calliope was the more responsible parent compared to Martin. This was to the point that if she was the one that lived rather than Martin, Molly would be just as bad off as now.[Citation Needed]

Calliope died 2 years prior to Prison of Plastic in the fire that burned down the original Blyndeff Toy Emporium, most likely from smoke inhalation. Lorelai blames herself believing her Sleep Inscribing started the fire.[4]
