VRV picked up and gave some funding to Epithet Erased after Brendan Blaber's pitch. However, it was not enough and Brendan would need to fund most of the season, and was not picked up for another Season. Despite this the show preformed well.[Citation Needed]
On April 4, 2023, It was announced VRV would be shutting down and merging with Crunchyroll, and merging their libraries of content. The two sites merged on May 8, 2023.[1] Epithet Erased was not among the titles that were merged, meaning Brendan Blaber's Youtube Channel is now the only official way to watch Epithet Erased.
