This is an archived Moxie Roughouse]], [Charlottle Scarlet]], and [Gulie Manning]] are eager for the tournament to start and they chat with one another for awhile before they are introduced to the lady running the tournament, Mera Salamin and her bodyguard, Indus Tarbella. Upon questioning Indus repeatedly reveals that his Epithet is BARRIER, saying that honorable warriors always reveal their epithets. Mera shakes her head in disappointment. She converses for awhile and Sylvie is impressed by her intimate knowledge of Epithets and he begins to see her as a mentor. This does not end well. Mera also mentions the tournaments sole sponsor, Toilet Apples, a company that sells apples that have been soaking in toilet water. She points to the locker room’s toilet, which is stuffed with them.

Because the toilet wasn’t working, Guile took the time to poop in one of the lockers, which Indus blames on Moxie. Sylvie weirds out Guile to which he responds “Kid, do you have ANY friends?” Sylvie answers “no” and Guile feels bad enough to befriend the child, teaching him that a middle finger means “Peace Among Worlds”.

While all of this is going on, another competitor and Moxie’s cousin, Giovanni Potage, sneaks into the locker room over and over again attempting to get some inside info on the other competitors. He seems to have some kind of beef with Guile, but is repeatedly thrown out of the room by Indus before he can confront him.

The tournament begins and Sylvie easily defeats Devinia in the first match by summoning sleep-inducing sheep, and then watches as the rest of the battles unfold. During the last battle, Gulie Manning is paired off aganist Molly Blyndeff which was put into the tournament by mistake, Gulie decides to help her advertise her store. As thanks, Molly tells Sylvie that her epithet is “Dumb,” which she can use to mute people. She mutes Giovanni to demonstrate.

In the second round of the tournament the party is paired off to fight each other in a 2v2 match, but the match is interrupted by [Abbott Arbuckle]], a man who desperately wants to be a police officer but isn’t. He says that his sources have told him this tournament is a front for ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES and he begins randomly attacking the party, thinking they have something to do with that. The party flattens him.

After Abbott is dealt with, the party sees that the tournament staff have disappeared, and that perhaps Abbott was right after all! They attempt to follow the staff inside, but they are blocked by Indus, who reluctantly tells them he has received orders from Mera not to let them pass.

The party doesn’t want to fight Indus and instead they just befriend him and trick him into letting them inside. Mera is pretty pissed off by this.

Cornered, Mera reveals that the tournament is a ploy so that she can take the winner’s Epithet powers for herself using a magic Necklace she has called the Gemini Necklace. She was the winner of the tournament’s first year and the host tried to kill her, so she had to fight back. Turned out this was a pretty good once-a-year racket, so she took it over. Minus the killing, she wasn’t super into that, but, y’know. The party’s here and she doesn’t want to get arrested, so...

Mera, Dan Gansley, and [Chuck Jones]] fight the party in a massive clusterfuck battle where Mera uses two Epithets she had stolen in the past, “Bughouse” and “Eventual”, in addition to her own Epithet, some kind of glass power.

Guile asks if her Epithet is bitch. It’s not. It hurts her feelings. Sylvie feels horribly betrayed by his long-time mentor.

The fight gets increasingly hectic. Dan Gansley rolls nothing but 1s and shoots himself in the face with a gun. At one point Allison summons Shadow the Hedgehog. Charlotte gets frustrated by everything and tries to phase a knife directly into Mera’s brain. Indus pushes her out of the way and takes a massive amount of damage to his chest. After that Mera decides to call it for their safety and she, Dan, Chuck, and Indus run off. However, Indus forgets to take the [Gemini Necklace]]. The remaining [Bushido Blasters]] grab it and escape, as Giovanni chases the escaping Guile out a window.

Before he can leave Charlotte reveals Guile’s epithet out of spite.

Sylvie concludes that the tournament was pretty terrible.[1]
