The series is stated to be broken up into multiple story arcs, each spotlighting different members of its gradually increasing cast while tying into a larger plot. The first episode premiered on [[VRV]] on November 8, 2019, with subsequent episodes premiering every Friday. Episodes were also made available on Brendan's [https://www.youtube.com/@JelloApocalypse YouTube channel: ''JelloApocalypse''] two weeks after their premiere on VRV. In the world of [[Sweet Jazz City]] a lucky few are born with powers attached to their very souls known as "[[Epithet|Epithets]]". An Epithet stems from a single word that can grant its user any kind of power. Words like "Fire", "[[Arnold Markdown|Coupon]]", ...or "[[Giovanni Potage|Soup]]". A magical artifact known as the "[[Arsene Amulet]]" is rumored to be able to steal an epithet from a person, and they say it’s hidden somewhere in the [[Sweet Jazz City Museum|Sweet Jazz Museum]]... Suddenly, [[Banzai Blasters|thieves]] burst down the doors in the middle of the night! Inscribed warriors do battle in the dark of the abandoned exhibits! Dinosaur bones come toppling to the floor! And a little girl named [[Molly Blyndeff|Molly]] is stuck in the middle of it all. Will her epithet, "Dumb," be enough to save her? Or will her epithet be... erased?

The concept of the series began with [[Brendan Blaber]]'s Roll20 Tabletop RPG campaign ''[[Anime Campaign]]'', and since he liked the concept of [[epithets]] and many other elements and characters, it inspired him to make ''Epithet Erased'', carrying over much of what made the series great and cutting what didn't.

[[Brendan Blaber]] began drafting the script for Epithet Erased as early as Fall 2018, and pitched it to [[VRV]] in October of the same year. Official production is estimated to have begun in approximately March 2019.
